The official AudioMoth IPX7 waterproof case from Open Acoustic Devices is designed specifically for AudioMoth version 1.0.0 to 1.2.0 (AudioMoth Dev only fits if you modify the PCB). It is effectively sealed using an easy-to-use clasp with compression o-ring. The acoustic path is protected from water-pooling with a neatly designed rain-hood and the microphone opening is waterproofed using a GAW334 acoustic vent. The case is made from injection-molded polycarbonate and comes with an adjustable velcro strap, which makes securing AudioMoth simple and easy. The case is compact and highly resilient and will house AudioMoth for extended periods of time in a wide variety of environments.
Note: Your AudioMoths may be shipped inside the cases to reduce space.
The AudioMoth Underwater Case is designed specifically for the HydroMoth and AudioMoth version 1.2.0 (without the 3.5mm socket). The case is made from injection-molded polycarbonate and comes with an adjustable velcro strap, which makes securing AudioMoth simple and easy. Unlike the original Green AudioMoth case, this does not have the acoustic membrane need to work outside of the water. The case is compact and highly resilient and will house AudioMoth for extended periods of time at depths of 30-60m.
The AudioMoth USB Microphone and Case (Green) together make a splashproof and easy-to-use full-spectrum USB microphone. The device streams audible and ultrasonic frequencies via USB and is designed to specifically run using the free AudioMoth Live App and using the AudioMoth USB Microphone firmware. It uses an identical audio front-end to the standard AudioMoth 1.2.0 variants and doesn’t require batteries. It also has a 3.5mm socket to allow additional external electret condenser (PIP) microphones/hydrophones to be used. The case is made from injection-molded polycarbonate and the acoustic path is protected using a splashproof Gore acoustic vent. The case has an easy-accessible switch and a large loop to take strain off of the USB cable or to make it easy to attach to objects during use.
