The LOGCAVE CTFC recorder is a low-power and long-range device that allows us to record light, temperature and humidity, with a timestamp, initially designed for the detection of human presence in caves, although its uses can be diverse in all those fields where a record of light variations within a configurable range is required.
The device allows you to set a minimum light value threshold as a trigger for recording data, allowing to adjust the Settings to the specific natural light conditions of the location and avoid recording unnecessary information. This setting can be made on site through a serial Bluetooth connection from a mobile device.
The recorded data is stored in a micro SD card for later analysis, but can be consulted and downloaded through the mobile device.
This project was born from the course "Build your own datalogger", organized by WILDLABS, and also the invaluable help of Akiba Wang and Jacinta Plucinski who advised me on the design of the firmware.
