Much like the 2.0 cores, the 2.5 core has a resolution of 80x60 pixels and the same 8.5 x 11.7 x 5.6 mm package that draws only 150 mW nominally (and 650 mW during shutter events). The frame rate is still 9 Hz at a spectral response wavelength range of 8 - 14 microns (nominal). Basically, it fits into the same socket and its electronically interfaced the same way as Lepton 2.0 so there is no need to hack your current development system hardware but your firmware may need some tweaks.
